John Caccivio Photography

John Caccivio Photography or "GinGin Photos" got it's start in the spring of 2016 when I signed up to take pictures of the Westfield Boys Varsity Lacrosse Team.  Since then, it has evolved to include Westfield Athletics including football, basketball, volleyball, lacrosse, and even mulch spreading! By why GinGin?

About GinGin

My wife's family is from Perth, Western Australia and over the last few decades I've logged more than a few miles on Qantas traveling down under.  When I first started visiting Perth, my brother-in-law, Felice Tati, would often invite me out to his farm about 70km north of Perth in a place called "GinGin".  He made it sound like the most fantastic place and I noticed that each time he came back, his spirits were lifted.

The word GinGin is Aboriginal and is thought to mean "place of many streams" or "peaceful place". When I visited there the first time, it was certainly both.  And for that reason, GinGin was the perfect name because being behind the lens is a peaceful place  and getting just the right picture always raises my spirits.

So I hope you enjoy the pictures you find at GinGin Photos as much as I like taking them. And if you ever want to get away, and are willing to travel 15K miles southwest to a quaint Western Australia town, let me know and I'll get you directions to the farm.
